PREPARING FOOD
Dorothy Dix once wrote that
only one man Mi sixty Had a
breakfast sufficient to give him
the necessary strength for effi
cient work until noon and only
one woman in two hundred had
sufficient breakfast
The housewives have rebelled
against, preparing food for the
family. They have turned to can
ned foods, frozen foods, something
which they can prepare in just
a few minutes with' can opener
or just a little heat '
One of the main - food, prepara
tions in the home- has become the
sandwich, A couple- of slices of
bread with a sliced .) bannama or
tomato in between and. a., slap dab
of mayannaise and that, ends the
food preparation We wonder if
not an invitation. Jdoetor and
hospital bills. . ' ? r. r
It mav be that th necessarv'
vitamins' may be' stored in grass;
and weeds but if they are it is
necessary to put them through
necessary process before they can
be f assimilated by the human
bodjy.' Ordinarily hay may be
all right for cows, norses and
sheep but if they should throw
a bale of hay on the table and
tell me to help myself I would
soon change boarding places.
.Much goes into preparing the
food for a family. To make a
happy contented home the family
must be well fed. Much love is
lost and many homes break up a-
round the dineing table. If a
woman expects to be a succeestful
wife and mother it is more im
portant to know how to prepare
food than to know how to dance,
play bridge or pass m society.
