White Rock Churches ' ;";.vj'y.:-;'. GEORGE R. BLUE, Pastor Q Walnut The Session held its regular monhMy meeting after the close of the morning service with the pastor acting as the moderator. Several items of importance to the material and spiritual welfare of the church were discussed and aotej upon. The most important was the making of preliminary and tentative plans for evange listic services to be held in the church late in the spring. Among the elders who attended were Fleet Reeves, Fred Rector and Symrgeon Chandler, who is the clerk of the Session. The morning service was con ducted at 11 bv the younir people of the church who had complete charge of the service. Youth Sun day was observed and the title of the sermon was "On Beuig A Christian," with the text being taken from the Book of Acts. It is hoped that the observance of Youth Sunday will become a reg ular feature of the progtiaim of the church. The youth choir sang a selection and Betty and Dorothy Johnson sang a duet. They were accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Minnie Davis. Members and friends of the church are reminded that there will be a service here this coming Sunday morning at 11. Since this is the fifth Sunday in the month, it will be a Union Service and it is hoped that all will make a spe cial effort to attend. The pastor will occupy the pulpit and deliver the sermon. On Sunday evening the West minster Fellowship met at 6:30 under the guidance of Miss Ruth Guthrie and Miss Odessa Hender son. Following t h e devotions there was a Bible Quiz by Miss Guthrie. The group rehearsed several songs which they hope to sing in the church in the near future. " White Rock There was a receptive and re sponsive congregation on hand at the morning service. Youth Sun day was observed and the entire service was conducted by the young people of the church. The theme of the sermon was "The Christian Life" and the text was taken from one of the Pauline E pistles. DEMPSEY WOODY, Correspondent (Too Late For Last Week) Mrs. Shirly Finley, Hadie and Lanett spent Friday night with church at which time all of the pastors, in the comimkinity will participate and cooperate. It will be conducted by Mr. Daniel Force and Rev. Joseph Wakefield. Rev. Jiiwmie Rogers, pastor of the Hot Springs Baptist Church, will de liver the sermon. ' It ia hoped that all will make a special ef fort to attend. The morning service was cop ducted by Mr. Daniel Force who chose as the theme of his sermon one that was in keeping with the observance of Youth Sunday. One of the highlights of the service was the musical selection by the Junior Choir. It was a rewarding and fruitful experience for all who "came.
