is a teacher in Charlotte, and her
brother, Mr. Cuthbert Sprinkle,

Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Froneberger
and children, of Gastonia, visited
her parents, Doan and Mrs. R. M.
Lee, last week-end.
Miss Mary Huff was home from
Boone last Saturday night and
Sunday.
And Miss Caroleen Jo'hnson
was home from Brevard over the
week-end.
Mrs. H. C. Cox is a patient in
St. Joseph's Hospital this week.

for a visit of several weeks in
Europe.
Mr. Robert Richardson, of Gua
temala, a former student of the
college, arrived last Thursday for
a week's visit here with Mrs. 0.

While in college here he lived in
the home of Dr. and Mrs. R. L.

hospital after an extended illness.
Services were held at 2 p. m.,
Monday in Mit Zlon Free Will
Baptist Church.
The Rev. T. A. Holder and the
Rev. Warren Reese officiated.
Burial was in the church cemetery.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
Surviving are two daughters,
Mrs. Vonnie Lee Thomas of Wlalr
nut and 'Mrs. Vance Connor of
RFD 1, Marshall; seven brothers,
Jim, Lloyd, Andrew and iLuther

session. Devotions were given by
Mrs. J. L. McEIroy. Mrs. Vader
Shelton called the roll and read
the minutes. Mrs. T. R. Worley
reported on the the funds in the
treasury. Mrs. Ethel WaJlin gave
!a demonstration on "Preparing
i Oven Meals." which she later
served.
For the next meeting, the club
voted to include a workshop with
the regular meeting to 'be held
with Mrs. Robel Redmon.
