2 Horace Melton Metcalf, 64, of
Rt. 2, Marshall,' died Saturday
morning,' February 24, 1962 in his
home after a brief illness.
Services were held at 2 p. m.(
Monday in Bull Creek Baptist
Church on the Marshall-Mars Hill
Highway.
The Rev. A. P.. Sprinkle and the
Rev. Charles Stockton officiated.
Burial was in Bruce and Metcalf
Cemetery.
Nephews were pallbearers.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs.
Faye Hensley of Rt. 2, Marshall;
three sons, Howard of Rt. 2, Mars
Hill, Herbert of Rt. 2, Weaverville ,
and Harry Lee of Rt. 2, Marshall;
three brothers, Grant and Arville
of Rt. 2, Marshall and Dewey of
Rt. 1, Mars Hill; 12 grandchildren I
and two great-grandchildren. !

Mr. Rube Gunter passed away
Monday of last week following a
brief illness. He is survived by his
widow, Mrs. Magolene Wyatt Gun
ter; ;three sons, Alonzo, Dallas,
and R. D. Our sympathy goes out
to the bereaved family.
Mr. and Mrs. Joel Pangle and
two daughters of California, visit
ed his mother, Mrs. Lucy Parker
and sister, Mrs. Dale Balding. He
also visited Mr. and Mrs. Hubert
