YOU'RE WONDERFUL! This coming Sunday May 13 is Mother's Day. The world has become so busy with its scientific advancements ... its startling news ... its vast in crease in crime ... its crowded schedule of meetings and socials . . . and the thousand's of other things which take our time and attention, we have little time to really sit down quietly and think of our ma ny blessings. We are often too busy to gather as a family for any length of time. We are victims of a rushing world. Once a year, however, we have an observance of Mother's Day. Regardless of our busy schedule we should turn our thoughts to the greatest girl in the world Mother. To us, whose mothers have passed away, we' can have our memories and express our love in pray ers and thoughts. We, too, can observe Mother's Day. To those who are fortunate to have their moth ers living, we sincerely hope that they will honor her and express their love for and to her. The most tender word in the English language is Mother. 1 We seldom realize-how much Mother means to us. ; Only this week we were reading the following paragraphs and were so impressed that we haves de cided to close this column with those paragraphs: Ouch, Mommie, I skinned my knee , and it hur-r-rts! But do you know what? 'Most every one of those new things turns out to be fun . . . and" that's the. way we grow up a little each day. Now get your jacket . . . ; Watch that flutter kick, Ginger, if 'you really want to learn to swim the crawl! Gee, Mother, you make it so easy. You can teach anything! Yes, I know it was an accident you broke Mr. Harrison's window with the ball. Now you march over and tell him you'll mow his lawn till it's paid for. ' Oh, Mother, you waited up. Fm glad. The dance was simply super and dreamy and, Mom . . . did you worry about being popular when you were sixteen? Of course, Nan. Every girl does. But I learned something, too. Do you know the best way to be liked? It is being yourself. Thanks, George, for your hand. I can't whisper in church but I'm thinking we've come full circle it seems," Now it is our son who is getting married and he looks and acts so much like you did that wonder ful June day back in 1937 . .. . Sure, you don't mind, Mom? We'll be back ear ly.' Mind? I love it I Show me a woman who would rather do anything else than baby-sit . . . with her own two beautiful grandchildren ! ?; Hi, Mom!
