He developed nearly 300 by-products from pea nuts. His discoveries are today the foundation for industries worth millions of dollars. The soil with which he worked seemed at first completely value less. But Carver did what he1 frequently advised others to do he made us of what he had at hand Carver had a faith that brought 'htm victories. Many of us have talents that are unproductive only because they are unused. When we put our faith in Christ, He is able to meet us in every circum Btance in life and so bring victory in our daily tasks. Services were held Wednesday at 2:30 o'clock in the Fhrta of Spring Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Eugene Moore and the Rev. Homer Willett officiated. Burial was in the Flats of Spring Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers were Handy Coward, Merritt Cogdill, Romans Willett, Newton Plemmons, Oliver Martin, and Charles Wills. Surviving are the husband, F. N. Willett, Sr.: four daughters. Mrs. Ed West of Clyde, RFD S, Mrs. James Price of Lake June luska, Mrs. Eugene Plemmons of Hot Springs, RFD 1, and Miss Gall Willett of the home; four sons; Leo Willett, of Hot Springs RFD 1, Glenn Willett, of Santa Barbara, Calif., Bill and F. N. Jr., of the home; one sister, Mrs. Jessie Plemmons of Waynesville; four brothers, N. B. West of Marshall, Riley West of Hot Springs RFD 1, Willie West of Detroit, Mich., and Wade West of Waynesville. Also surviving are eight grand children. Bowman funeral Home was in charge. Mr. Olin Fish suffered a bad in jury to his ankle when he stepp ed from a doorstep on the porch, he is still using a crutch. Mrs. Eval Gosnell is on the sick list we hope for her a speedy re covery. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hensley of Candler spent Saturday night with home folks on Little Laurel. A large number of folks from VCS In Progress At Fairview A Vacation Ghurch School is in progress at Fairview Methodist Church. It begins each morning at 9:00 o'clock, and all children are invited to attend. The school includes study about the Bible and our foreign neighbors, gases, and an excellent craft program. The staff includes Louis Woodard, Juanita Tolley, Mattie Ray Ram sey, Jewel Chandler, Lois Chand ler, Helen Goode, and Mary Brooks. The school will continue through July 23.
