C, were they spent a few days as guests of Jasper Ram sey, formerly of Madison County, who is now a successful business man at the coastal city. Mr. Ramsey chartered the bus for the group and extended them the "all-expense-paid" trip. While there, Mr. Ramsey entertained the group several times, calling it a "family reunion". He also invited several guests and relatives from Myrtle Beach as well as other States to share in the "reunion". While in Myrtle Heac.h, the group was quartered at the Tropical Mo tel which is owned by Mr. Rani Key. Among those enjoying the trip from Asheville, were Mrs. Nina Magill, Mrs. Cornelia Allen, Mrs. Neta Adams, Mrs. Mae Ledbetter, Mr. and Mrs. Decker Dover, Mrs. Amy Dover Wolfe, Mrs. Virginia Dover Wolfe. From Marshall and Walnut, Mrs. Julia Ramsey, Mrs. form Ramsey, Miss Tennie Ram sey, Mrs. Pauline Ramsey, Mr. and Mrs Paul Ballard, Mr. and Mrs. Jeter Waldroup of Knoxville and Howard Knsley of (laffney, South Carolina. Due to a mil understanding, it was announced in last week's is sue that the Red Cross Bioodmo- bile would be in Marshall on Tues day of this week. Further infor mation after the paper had bean published revealed that the Blood- mobile will be in Marshall on Tuesday, October 1. The unit will be here from 2:46 to 6:45 and will be at tike French Broad Electric Membership Coop Building. Make plans now to visit the RKA Building on October 1, and donate a pint of blood. NO SPEED LIMIT Topeka, Kan. While it has been decided that the Kansas turn pike, a 236-mile four-lane toll high way recently opened will have no speed limit, drivers will be "hail ed dawn" if they exceed 80 miles an hour, and it will be illegal to drive less than 40 miles an hour unless bad weather or other fac tors make it advisable to go slow ex. Frank E. Sprinkle Passes In Michigan; Services Here Today frank E. Sprinkle, 60, of De troit, Mich., a native of Madison County, died Friday night, Sept ember 6, 1063, in Detroit after an extended illness. The body was brought to Mar shall for service and burial. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Edna Munition Sprinkle; the moth er, Mrs. Alice Sprinkle of Mar shall; and two sisters, Miss Dor othy Sprinkle, of Marshall, and Mrs. Charlie Rigsby of Detroit. Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2:00 in the Knon Baptist Church. The Rev. Paul Morrow and the Rev. Lester Crsyton will officiate. Burial will be in the church cem etery. Active pallbearers will be Clay Rice, Ralph Ramsey, Vernon Runnion, Glen West, Guy Rice and Lloyd Slagle. Bowman Funeral Home is i n charge of arrangements. The picnic was given in honor of W. J. (Uncle Jay) Roberts's birthday and the ladies of the church baked a large birthday cake for Mr. Roberts. He also received many useful gifts in tok en of his faithfulness and activi ties in the Hopewell church. W. Payne, were united in Marriage Saturday evening, Sept. 7, 1968, at 7:30 in Calvary Bap tist Church of Mars Hill. The Rev. W. G. Russell, pastor of the church officiated. Miss Nancy Russell was pianist and Mr. Doyle Cody was soloist Mrs. Don Hall at tended the bride's book. C. N. Willis Jr., gave his sister in marriage. She wore a formal gown of Chantilly lace and tulle over bridal satin with a tiered skirt Her veil of illusion was at tached to a tiara of pearls and sequins and she wore a single strand of pearls, a gift from the bridegroom and carried a white Bible centered with an orchid with long white streamers. Mrs. Henry H. Domsko of Ar lington, Vs., was her sister's ma tron of hour. Bridesmaids were Miss Terry Lee snd Miss Rhonda Jean Adkins of Weaverville, nie ces of the bride. They wore bal lerina length dresses of pastel taffeta with matching headdress, and carried bouquets of matching flowers. Doyle Radford of Candler, cous in of the groom, was best man, with Neal and Clayton Willis serv ing as ushers. A reception was held following the ceremony at the home of the bride's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Hoy J. Edwards. Mrs. Lloyd Cassida, sister of the Recent Bride aunt bride, and Mrs. T. D. Hick of the groom, assisted.
