There ensued a long silence, then

Read II Corinthians 4:6-11
Fear none of those things which
thou shalt suffer . . : be thou faith
ful unto death, and I will give thee
a crown of life. (Revelation 2:10.)
On a dark night following a
tropical storm, I stepped out onto
the porch. Unrelieved gloom
shrouded everything. No star
shone in the sky, and no lights
were showing from the doorways
of village houses across the valley.
Then I was surprised to see above
my head a bit of yellow light
flashing on and off. Though
small, it was vivid and cheering.
On investigation, I found it to be
a glowwom on the ceiling of the
porch alone and out of its natural
enviornment, but continuing to
shine. Either the storm had driven
the little glowworm there, or for
some other reason it had com
pletely lost its way. Nevertheless,
its bright glow was undimmed.

SOME WAY TO DO IT
Bluefield, W. Va. A dental
patient insited that a local den
tist melt down her gold wedding
band to use to fill her teeth. When
the denist assured her there was
a better and cheaper way she told
him that she had promised her first
husband that she would alway wear
his ring. Since she was getting
married again, and her second
husband had insisted that she
wear only his ring, she wanted the
dentist to use the first gold ring
as filling for her teeth. In that
way she could keep her promise to
both.
