Davis are spending this week at Meredith College, Raleigh, taking part in the Religious Focus Week there. Mia Alma Freeman has return ed to her home in Hendersonville lifter spending two week here with her Bister, Mrs. Nelson Har ris. Miss Beth Briggs, student at ASTC, Boone, was home over the week-end. And Miss Mary Huff, a member of the Library Staff of ASTC, visited her mother over the week-end. Dr. and Mr. Luther Jarvis and family, of Gastonia, visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. M. Jar vis, here last Friday to Sunday. Dr. S. W. Vance, who is still a patient at St Joseph's Hospital, is reported to be gaining strength and showing improvement. Mrs. Kemmie Holcombe, who has been a patient at Black Moun tain Sanatorium for the past two weeks, is thought to be improved and hopes to come home in a few days. There is still a good deal of sick ness around in this community.
