Funeral Saturday Mrs. LiUie Norton, 87, of Rt 6, died early Thursday, May 19, I960 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was a lifetime resident of Madison County and the widow of Enoch Norton, who died in 1961. Surviving are three eons, Bud', Brown and Mack Norton, all of Marshall Rt. 6; four daughters, Mrs. Effie Mace, Mrs. Jennie Da vis, and Mrs. Sue Arlington, all of Marshall Rt. 6, and Mrs. Joyce Phillips of Mars Hill Rt. 3; three brothers, Charles, Stokley, and Cole Arlington, all of Appomat tox, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Thornton of Buffalo, S. C, and Mrs. Nina Mcintosh of Appomat tox, Va.; 37 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren. Services were held at 2:30 p. m., Saturday in Arlington Branch Baptist Church of which she was a member.
