here she saw many friends and
was glad to see her "Beloved
Mountains" as she always is. they
returned to their home in Phoenix

Services for Mrs. Cynthia Wor
ley Chandler, 79, of Walnut, who

Free Will Baptist Church, of
which she was a member.
The Rev. Z. T. Allen and the
Rev. Charles Stockton officiated
and burial was in Crooked Ridge
Cemetery. Friends of the family
served as pallbearers.
She was a lifelong resident of
Madison County, a daughter of
the late John A. and Lucreasy
Davis Worley.
Surviving are the husband, An
drew Chandler; two daughters,
Mrs. Annie Randall Goforth of
Asheville and Mrs. Ruby Randall
Caldwell of Weaverville Rt. 1; a
sister, Mrs. Nellie Mooneyham of
.Spartanburg and a brother, Rob
ert Worley of Thomasville, Ga.;
eight grandchildren and nine
great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Ammie Payne Hansen, 57,
of Decatur, Ga., formerly of Mar
shall, died at 9:30 a. m. Tuesday,
July 25, 1967 in an Atlanta hos
pital after a long illness.
Surviving are the husband, Fred
Hansen; three sons, Jones P. of
Tampa, Fla., Mickey L. of Pensa
cola, Fla., and SSgt. Jerry R.
Payne of the U. S. Army station
ed in Japan; a daughter, Mrs.
Barbara Sue Hendrix of Tampa; a
sister, Mrs. Frank Powers of Gar
den City, Mich.; and three grand
children. Services will be held at 11 a.
m. Friday in the chapel of Bowman-Duckett
Funeral Home.
The Rev. Paul Jordon will of
ficiate and burial will be in Prit
chard Cemetery. Friends of the
family will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends
at the funeral home from 7 to 9
p. m. tonight (Thursday).

Paul Lacks Houston exchanged
marriage vows on July 21 in Em
ma Baptist Church before the
pastor, the Rev. Joel A. Ferguson.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. W. C. Fisher of 72 Bing
ham Road and he is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Houston of
Marshall.
Mr. Fisher gave his daughter
in marriage. She wore a long
taffeta gown with lace panels
and appliques, and a veil attached
to a coronet.
Miss Phyllis Haney was maid
of honor and bridesmaids were
Miss Mary Ellen Gibbs and Miss
Alice Houston, sister of the bride
groom. They wore satin dress
es with lace jackets in shades
of pink and they carried topmary
bouquets of pink pom pons.
Riley Brady was best man and
Rex Sprinkle of Mars Hill and
Michael Gibbs of Old Fort were
ushers.
A reception followed in the
social hair.
The couple will live at 117 Flint
St. Asheville. The bride is em
ployed by Southern Bell Telephone
and Telegraph Co. The bride
groom is a senior at Mars Hill
College and is employed by SKF

The Hayes Run Square Dance
team, which is in Raleigh this
week for 4-H Club Week, will be
shown on television Saturday
morning about 7:30 o'clock over
Channel 13. They will lead off
the projjram, "Aspect" and will
conclude the program which has

Saturday night in the Fellowship
Hall of the Paint Fork Baptist
Church. The ladies of the church
were the hostesses.
A color scheme of pink and
white was used. The brides' table
was covered with a white linen
table cloth and the centerpiece
was an arrangement of pink sum
mer flowers in a crystal bowl and
crystal candle holders with white
candles.
Several games were enjoyed
with Mrs. O. E. Anderson, Jr.,
Miss Shirley Chandler and Miss
Terry Metcalf winning the prizes.
After the beautiful and useful
gifts were opened and viewed.
