J. W. HUFF, Oorrespoadeat Joe L. Morgan visited friends in Cochran, Georgia, recently. En route he visited Gen. and Mrs. Sandy Beaver in Gainesville, Ga., and was a guest at a dinner and Western Square Dance festival at Pisgah View Ranch in Hominy Valley. Later he visited friends in Boone and while there they all enjoyed dinner and a college stu dent presentation of "My Fair Lady", at the Farmhouse in Blowing Rock. He visited a friend at Lake Toxaway Inn and attended a pop concert at the Bre vard Music Center. Gerald Dwight Ball, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Ball of Mars Hill Rt. 1, recently entered Massey Technical Institute in Jackson ville, Fla. He is studying business administration and automation. He is a graduate of Mars Hill High School. Mr. and Mrs. James Huff, of Roanoke Rapids, who had been on a ten-day trip to the west, re turned Sunday for a few days visit here to his brothers, Messrs. Joe and Alfred Huff, and to enter their son, Joe, in college here. ' Mrs. M. H. Terrell returned Sunday from a few days stay in St- Joseph's Hospital. Rev. L. R Williams, who had been a hospital patient since Aug. 3, returned Saturday to his home here. He is thought to be improv ing. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Huff and son, Bobby, of Greenville, S. C, visited his mother here last week end and also made a trip to Boone to see his sister, Miss Mary Huff, who is to come home this week end for a ten-day stay. B Mr." and lirs. Ray N. Jarvis, and family, of Glen Burnie, Md., are expected Thursday for a visit here until Monday. Mr. W. G. Buckner, Jr.. of Bristol, Va., spent a few days here last week with his mother.
