"FOOD FOR THOUGHT"
By
Sugar Campbell
Just when you're beginning to
think well of people, you rulni
across somebody who puts sugar
on sliced tomatoes.
The more intelligent people are,
the more originality they see in
the other man. To non-thinkinf
people all men are much alike.
f, fif. 3f
A man must have a certain
amount of intelligent ignorance to
get anywhere.
3f.3f.3f
It is when a man begins to live
in the past, the good old days
that the boat begins to drift down
stream, eventually coming to rest
in stagnant waters.

The 1970-71 church year will
usher in a new decade. Churches
will face a challenging task in m
constantly changing world. South
ern Baptist agencies have work
ed for a decade to discover how
to help churches meet the chal
lenges of the '70s.
One of the greatest aids to br
made available is the new grouping-grading
system. Equally a
important is the church literature'
which will become available Oc
tober, 1970. More effective ap
proaches and better oonnmunca
tion are goals for every periodi
cal. The Bible will continue to
be the foundation for the tota'
curriculum.
Baptists in this area will have
their first opportunity to observe
these new changes at a specia'
clinic provided by the Frene
Broad Baptist Association to be
held at the Madison Seminar'.
Baptist Church February, 23, 2'
at 7:00 o'clock each evening.
This clinic, shaping the '70s, ir
a preparation clinic to get a com
prehensive preview of church life
Anticipated in the 70s to renew
the spirit, structure, to face th(
challenge of the decade ahead.
All pastors, Sunday School su
perintendents, elected church of
ficers, teachers, Training Union
Woman's Missionary Union, Bro
therhood, music, and all other in
terested church workers should
take advantage of this opportu
nity. Nine special trained leader?
have been trained along with out
side assistance to lead these con
ferences.
