Had a nice long- chat with Cous- in Hazel Ramsey this week and learned that Lane is back home from service and will be a senior at Mars Hill next year. I forgot to tell her how much I appreciat ed her note to the editor one time about Lane being a dirty hippie- looking fellow, but the reason was that he was out on the battle field fighting' and not that he was, by choice, in that shape. In today's; mail I got a cute poem from heri about reading Pop's and my col umns and I'll sent it along to him and he may print it. He could leave out his column if he was short of space .... We missed Jimmie and Linda's wedding cause we went to W'ythe-villi- to see the Shupes up there, but everyone says it was a beau tiful wedding and Linda was so lovely in her gown. I wish them every happiness and know they will enjoy a long life together. I m going to try to get to Linda Hryan and Ray Buckner's wed ding Friday night. Ray seems to have settled down quite a bit from school days and I saw Linda last night and she looked so happy and beautiful as brides usually do as they anticipate a full and happy married life. l.ee, our dog,' Mk' h in ' WW'' I I the intruder, started after TO! turned on him ! Have you ever wondered how these revolutionists support them selves in their activities? In this week's Time magazine there is a story telling how they will work just long enough to get some money for' pot and necessities, then back on the road. Too, some of them get on as witnesses for the House Un-American Activities Committee which pays them e nough to stay in Washington a couple of months at our ex pense! They also sell underground newspapers and a couple of them have written books and really got into big time money - but they put it back into the cause. Some parents help them out! That is the worst part of it all, I think. atil thJ ."gll coil J. E. Kent, 9 1 bl 'DIM Honored ouni i -su Mr. J. K. Kent, 94, lio' resident of Madison Cf.
