Fever and Aapirin Medically, a drug that brings down high body temperature is known as an "antipyretic." There is no better fever reducer than aspirin. In most cases, Bayer Aspirin reduces an ordinary fever in half an hour to an hour, de pending on the individual, the dose, and other factors. Amaz ingly enough, aspirin does not drive body temperature below norma!. As an authoritative study by two Yale University phy siologists remarks, "the effect of aspirin in lowering tempera ture during a fever is an ancient observation which has been supported by extensive mod ern clinical and experimental evidence." Since aspirin cannot actually "cure" the underlying condi tion which causes fever, it is best, when fever persists, to see your physician. Larry Leake i'J Continues Fine Record At UJV.C.
