At Erwin School
Eleventh Congressional
District Republicans will hold
their election year convention
Saturday, June 10, at 4 p. m. in
the auditorium at Clyde A.
Erwin High School rather than
at the Buncombe County
courthouse, as originally
scheduled, Jesse Ledbetter,
district chairman has an
nounced. The convention will elect two
delegates and two alternates to
the Republican National
Convention in Miami Beach,
August 21-23, and will nominate
one Republican Presidential
elector from the 11th District.
Mrs. Grace Jemison Rohrer,

State, will be the keynote
speaker. Judge-elect Bruce B.
Brines will serve as chairman.

The Swiss-born Miss
Schenk bubbled with en
thusiasm about her new
fashion line in an interview
with UIM. She said she hoped

Fashion Show in Paris this
Spring, with perhaps a show
later in Manila.
"It is of very special Filipino
material," she said, "I can't
fell you what it is. It must be a
surprise.
