never saw such good team

be giving all he had to work
out trying for the first eleven!
There seemed to be a friend

at all surprised if we have a
winning bunch of boys and a
team all Madison County will
be proud of boys and a team
all Madison County will be
proud to call OURS!
Boy, that gathering at
Watkins Glen was some turn
out, wasn't it? If one could
garner all of that en
thuslasium for something
constructive, mountains could
be moved, couldn't they! I
guess doing something like
that would be the equlvuant of
what we used to do on
Saturday nights when I was a
young girl namely get on the
back of Bernard's old truck,
go to Asheville and see two
movies, spend at least $2,
freeze on the ride back home,
and then the next morning be
awakened by Mama saying
"If you can stay out til twelve
o'clock, you can get up in time
to go to Sunday School!" and
up we would get, and get to
Sunday School and stay for
preaching!
My, I really had an in
teresting childhood, didn't I?
Attention, all my last U. S.
history students! I juat read in
seme paper about the fact that
many people think New
Mexico is a foreign country!
Even a school teacher from
New York, no less, wrote the
state saying her class was
collecting data from foreign
countries and could they have
a poster from their "Coun
try!" So, you see, my having
you learn the states and
capitals was a good thing and
you are better Informed than
that New York teacher.
Now, if we were like most
New Yorkers, we would
assume that all people from
there were idiots because they
didn't know such a small fact
You know, they meet someone
from the South and just
because one person might ask
a dumb question, they assume
all of us down here are alow!
