The Rev. J. F. Broyles Jr. officiated. Burial was in Meadow Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends were pallbearers. Bowman-Duckett Funeral Home was in charge. J. ARTHUR BOONE J. Arthur Boone, 54, of Rt. 3 Weaverville, died Sunday August 5, 1973 in an Asheville hospital after a brief illness. A native of Madison County, he had lived in Buncombe County for the past 22 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a son of the late John W. Boone and a farmer. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Connie Waldrup Boone; five sons, Monroe Boone of Ffetcher, Novile Boone of Asheville, Harlon Boone of Weaverville, Johnny Boone of Candler and Roger Boone of the home; the mother, Mrs. John W. Boone of Mars Hill; two sisters, Mrs. Garrett Hensley and Miss Margaret Boone of Mars Hill; two brothers. Mack Boone of Mars Hill and Calvin Boone of Cross Anchor, S C.; and six grand children. C, died Tuesday, July 31, 1973. He was a native of Madison County, son of Darual L. and Nancy Cutshall Nobles. He was a student at Newberry High School and was an employee of Bi-Lo Stores. Surviving also are a brother, Larry D. Cutshall of the home; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Luther H Nobles of Newberry, and Mr. Marvin Cutshall of Newberry. The funeral was held last Thursday morning in the Chapel at Whitaker Funeral Home. Burial was in Memorial Gardens in Newberry MRS. ORA WALDRL'P CHANDLER Mrs Ora Waldrup Chan dler, 74, of Clarks Chapel Road, Weaverville, died Wednesday August 1, 1973 in an Asheville hospital after a long illness. A native of Madison County, she had lived most of her life in Buncombe County She was a retired schoolteacher of Buncombe and Madison Counties after 30 years of service and taught Sunday School at Grace, Locust Grove and Weaverville Baptist Churches She was an active member of the WMU and the widow of John Sherman Chandler. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. E. F. Sprinkle of Marion, two half-sisters, Mrs. Ed Griffin of Mars Hill and Mrs. Millard Jones of Inverness, Fla.; a brother, Clifford T. Waldrup of Marshall and a half brother, Max A. Sprinkle of Candler; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Weaverville Baptist Church of which she was a member. The Revs leroy Denton and Wesley Sprinkle officiated. Burial was in Locust Grove Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Wayne and the Rev.
