' Mrs. Kaufman is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fillmore Itterman of Cedar Hill Road.' Asheville., Mr. - Kaufman is the son of Mr. and ' Mrs. William E. Kaufman of 27 Stockwood Road, Asheville. The bride was given in ' marriage by her father. She t wore a long . white hand clipped, pearled, and scalloped imported cotton nylon Chantilly lace dress that featured a high neckline and long tapered sleeves. Mrs. Joyce Brock, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore an empire gown of floral print with a ' deep flounced ruffle ' and a band of blue satin ribbon at the waist. She wore a blue picture hat and carried a nosegay of blue mums. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Peggy Kaufman, sister-in-law of the bridegroom. Miss Renee Farlow, and Miss Susan Holcombe, all of Asheville. They wore gowns similar to the honor attendant with lavender, pink and yellow ribbons, respectively, and wore picture hats to match. They carried nosegays of matching mums. Robert H. Kaufman, of Asheville, was his brother's best man. Ushers were Charles Brock, brother-in-law of the bride, Bill Kaufman, brother of the groom, and Chuck Corpening, all of Asheville. The mother of the bride was attired in an empire gown of peach polyester with a flowing skirt and a high neckline. She wore matching accessories and an orchid corsage. The mother of the bridegroom was dressed in a long soft mint dress of polyester knit with matching accessories. She wore a white rose corsage. The church was decorated with two side candelabras, accented with sprigs of fern, and two floral arrangements of white glad and yellow mums. A musical program was presented by James Roddy, organist. A reception was held in the fellowship hall, immediately following the ceremony. Serving were Mrs. Janet Bunyett, sister of the groom, Mrs. Ruth Holcombe, and Miss Sharon Sluder and Miss Carolyn Sluder, cousins of the bride. The bride's book was kept by Miss Reita Sluder, also cousin of the bride. For their wedding trip to Florida, the bride wore a short dress of navy and white jersey. She wore white ac cessories and a white orchid corsage. The bride is a 1973 graduate of Clyde A. Erwin High School and is presently employed by Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. The bridegroom is a 1973 graduate of T. C. Roberson High School and is employed by Carolina Industries. A bridal shower was given by Miss Susan Holcombe, Mrs. Lee Holcombe,' Mrs. T.V L, Holcombe, and Mrs. Peggy Kaufman on June 20 in Wesleyan Methodist Church fellowship hall. On August 1, the bride was honored with a kitchen and grocery shower given by Mrs. Janet Bunyett, Mrs. Peggy Kaufman, and Mrs. Jeanne Batts at 12 Stock wood Road. On August 7, the bride was honored with a White Bible Ceremony at Deaver View Baptist Church. Immediately following the ceremony, there was a miscellaneous shower in the fellowship hall of the church. A rehearsal dinner was given on August 16 by the groom's parents at the Sheraton Inn. The two candelabra on each side held white can dles. A program of wedding music was presented by Mrs. Gene Anderson, pianist; Eddie West, organist; and Mrs. Wayne Adair, Jr., vocalist. Mrs. Adair sang "Through The Years" and "Whither Thou Goest" prior to the ceremony, and "The Wedding Prayer" as a benediction. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white silk organza gown accented with Chantilly lace appliques; and matching Chantilly lace outlined the circular chapel length train. Her veil of silk illusion was trimmed in matching lace and was at tached to a lace-covered Juliet cap. She carried a cascade of pink sweetheart roses and multi colored daisies, pom poms and baby's breath on a white Bible. Miss Cheryl Fisher of Weaverville, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a blue polyester crepe gown with matching lace bodice. Her white picture hat was trimmed with long blue streamers, and she carried a nosegay of yellow and white daisies, pink and yellow pom poms and baby's breath with pink, blue, yellow and white ribbon. Bridesmaids were Miss Delores Bradley of Marshall; and Miss Pamela Fisher of Weaverville, cousins of the bride; and Miss Janice Young of Candler.
