Of ficials state that there will be two shows the afternoon show to start at 1 p.m. and the evening show at 7 p.m. In case of rain, the show will be held Sunday, June 8, it was announced. Honorable C. D. Jackson, of Roanoke, Va., will be the Judge. He is a member of the Racking Horse Breeders Association of America. Mr. Lloyd Thompson, of Asheville, will again be Master of Ceremonies and Mr. Roger Wood, of Marshall, will be the Ringmaster. The Show Committee is composed of Maurice McAlister, Jerry Plemmons, John Corbett, Roger Wood and David Caldwell. Mrs. Jerry Plemmons will serve as Show Secretary. Officials announced that a Veterinarian will be on call. As in past years, there will Greater Hvy Association Mas Interesting Meeting The Greater Ivy Community Citizens Association held its regular fourth Monday night meeting at the California Creek Baptist Church with Dr. Grover L. Angel presiding. Dr. Angel gave a report telline jf the legal problems involved in securing the building at Beech Glen for community use and expressed hope that they would be resolved soon. Mrs. Talmadge Metcalf, Treasurer of the Association, gave her report on the proceeds from the ham dinner at the Mars Hill School. The dinner netted $444.09. Mrs. Metcalf expressed her thanks to all concerned in helping with the dinner. Mrs. Jimmy Ramsey, Beautification Chairman, introduced three new Com mittee chairmen: Mr. Bac chus McPeters, Mailbox; Mr. Dean Ledford, Signs; Mrs. Bill Clark, Scrapbook. McPeters told of the decision to have a mailbox beautification contest to be held the third week in July. Anyone wishing to enter the k. - v. C -. Mrs. Clark told of the in vitation from Brookshire of the Newfound Community for the Scrapbook Committee and others who are interested to visit their community on June 8. Any community or church ac tivities, along with pictures, should be reported to Mrs. Clark.
