The flower girl wore a long solid yellow dotted Swiss gown, a white picture hat and carried a basket of rose petals. The bride wore a white satin gown overlaid with Chantilly lace, a fingertip veil and car ried a bouquet of white daisies and babies' breath, having white streamers. The bridegroom had as his best man his cousin, Van Brown of Hot Springs. Doug McDevitt of Walnut and Dewayne Snelson of Hot Spring were ushers. Donna Ward of Marshall, organist, presented a program of wedding music prior to the wedding and played the tradi tional wedding marches. Kesha Manow, cousin of the bride, from Charleston, S.C., kept the bride's book. A reception followed in the fellowship hall. Those serving were Paula Roberts, cousin of the bride; Donna Flemming, sister of the bridegroom ; Jane Hoyle, aunt of the bride, all of Marshall; and Christine Hayes of Hot Springs. The cake was baked by Rhodenia Hollifield, aunt of the bride from Dandridge, Tenn. HUGH FLEMMING ...Rebecca Rice Violet Navy Returns From Goodwill Tour A 20-member delegation of North Carolina Extension Homemakers, including Miss R. Violet Navy of Mars Hill, has just returned from a two week People- to-People good will tour in England, the Netherlands, Italy and Switzerland. During the diplomatic travel program, delegation members met with local homemaking leaders in Lon don, Rome and Geneva. American Embassy briefings were held in London, Scheven ingen, Berne and Geneva. The purpose of the tour was to give delegation members an opportunity to carry messages of friendship to their counterparts in Western Europe. It also allowed them to visit typical United Nations LYNN HOUSTON related operations to learn and compare methods and procedures. The mission was an official program of People to-People International, a non profit, private sector organization founded in 1956 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower to promote world peace through international understanding. Highlights of the tour includ ed a briefing at the Interna tional Headquarters of the Associated Country Women of the World in London ; a visit to the Rijksmuseum full of Rem brandts in Amsterdam; a drive through the Ghianti country of southern Tuscany; and visits to the International Red Cross and World Health organizations in Geneva. Miss Navy is a retired home economics teacher and exten sion home economist. She is active in extension homemakers and other com munity and county organiza tions.
