Hot Springs Day Care Center
Gets Beauty Treatment By Seniors
The grounds of the newly
opened Hot Springs Day Care
Center have recently been
given a genuine beauty treat
ment by a group of Senior
Citizens of that community.
The new lawn and grounds
were, carefully tilled, fertiliz
ed, raked and sowed with
grass. A small plot for a
garden for the Day Care
children was also prepare^Hjy
these workers. The grounds
were landscaped with
dogwood, maple, white pine,
rhododendron, holly, moun
tain laurel, nandina and other
flowering shrubs. Items for
the project were donated by
members of the group - some
as outright gifts and some as
memorials. Special mention is
due to Floyd Waldrop, Clayton
Moore, John Garenflo and
-Homer Rath bone for some of
the 'muscle work' of this pro
ject.
This exciting undertaking
will surely encourage even the
most indifferent among us to
contribute something to the
current clean-up, fix-up and
beautification campaign. For
any who choose to visit this
site, the grounds are on
Highways No. 25&70 just past
the entrance to the Hot Spr
ings Elementary School.
The building also itrfes as
the nutrition site- for senior
citizens of the Hot Springs
area.
