HEARING SCHEDULE
The Commission has suspended the proposed rate adjustments, has set the application tor investigation and hearing and
has required Continental Telephone Company of North Carolina to comply with all provisions of law and Commission Rules in
support of its application to show that the proposed increases are jut and reasonable.
Hearings on the matter have been scheduled for the following dates and locations:
a. Tuesday, September 27. 1963, at 2:00 p.m.. Auditorium McDowell Senior High School, Highway 70 West, Marion, North
Carolina.
b. Tuesday, September 27, 1963, at 7:30 p.m., Superior Courtroom. 5th Floor, Buncombe County Courthouse, Courthouse
Plaza. Asheville. North Carolina.
c. Wednesday, September 28, 1963, at 11 :00 a.m.. Community Services Room, Community Service Bidg., Scotts Creek Road,
Syfva, North Carolina.
d. Tuesday, October 4, 1963, at 9:00 ajn., in Commission Hearing Room, Dobbs Building, 430 North Salisbury Street
Raleigh, North Carolina.
The hearings at Marion, Asheville. and Syfva, North Carolina are for the purpose of receiving the testimony of public wit
nesses. The hearings will resume in Raleigh on Tuesday, October 4, 1983, 9:30 ajn. with any further testimony of public wit
nesses and testimony and cross -examination of the Applicant the Public Staff and intervenors.

The PUBLIC STAFF of the UtWties Commission through the Executive Director is required by statute to represent the
