Services were conducted in the Ashelawn Gardens of Memory with the Rev. J.C. Wilson officiating. A native of Madison County, he was a Buncombe County resident for the past 20 years He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church and VFW Post No. 891. Mr. Cutshall was a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II and a retired member of the Merchant Marines. He is survived by his parents, Paul and Edna King Cutshall ; two brothers, Walter R. Cutshall of Niagara Falls, N.Y.'and James F. Cutshall of Asheville; two sisters, Aileen Greene and Edith Wallen of Asheville, and several nieces and nephews. A lifelong resident of Bun combe County, he was the son of Maxine Burleson Briggs and the late John William Briggs. He was a member of the Pisgah Forest Baptist Church and a self-employed truck driver. In addition to his mother, Mr. Briggs is survived by his stepfather, Jerry Wheeler; his fiance, Teresa Leadingfox of Asheville; a sister, Kimberley Ann Wheeler of Weaverville; a brother, Jerry Wheeler of Weaverville; the paternal grandmother, Bonnie Briggs of Mars Hill, and the maternal grandmother, Lucille Burleson of Asheville. Services were held in the Old Bull Creek Baptist Church, of which she was a member, with the Revs. E.W. Jenkins, Clifford Cable and Charles Stockton officiating. Burial was conducted in the church cemetery. A lifelong resident of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Jim Henry and Lillie Dewees Ed wards and the widow of the late Carlos B. Fore, who died in 1978. Mrs. Fore is survived by two daughters, Shirley Baldwin of Mars Hill and Lucille Roberts of Brevard; a son, Howard Fore of Mars Hill; three sisters, Gertie Stines and Pan sy Arrowood of Mars Hill and Eloise Fox of South Carolina; a brother, Dillard Edwards of Mars Hill; 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Robert J. Jackson Funeral services were held Tuesday for Robert J. Jackson of Route 2, Mars Hill who died Saturday at his home at the age of 66. A native of Vona, Colo., Mr. Jackson had lived in Mars Hill since January. He had been a resident of Fairfax, Iowa for 37 years and was a member of the Carpenters Local Union. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II and a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Maxine Berry hill Jackson; a son, Robert J. Jackson, Jr. of Sulphur, La.; two daughters, Diana Schommer of Mars Hill and Marlys Jackson of New York City; a brother, Francis Jackson of Winter Park, Fla.; a sister, Marjorie Wells of Bushnell, Fla. ; and two grand sons.
