Maude Shelton Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon for Maude Williams Shelton of Route 4, Marshall who died Sept. 27 in an AsheviUe hospital at the age of SI. Services were held in the Spilicorn Church of God with the Rev. Oiin Shelton officiating Burial was con ducted in the Shelton family cemetery. A lifelong resident of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late William and Edith Payne Williams and the widow of Creed Shelton, who died in 1963. Mrs. Shelton is survived by two sons. Creed and Doyle Shelton of Marshall; a daughter. Myrtle Farmer of St. Helen, Mich.; two brothers, Grady Williams of Cleveland, Ohio and Marion Williams of Hendersonville ; two sisters, Bessie Johnson and Bonnie Williams , both of Marshall ; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren Iva Lee William Funeral services were held Mon day afternoon for Iva Lee Williams of Route 3, Mars Hill who died Sept. 29 at her home at the age of 57. Service* were beid in the SpUicorn Church of God with the Revs. Qtin Shelton, Loniue Crawford and Joe Honeycutt officiating. Burial was conducted in the SpUicorn Cemetery. A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Phil and Nancy Briggs Cutshail. She is survived by her husband, Claude Williams of Mars Hill, a son, Spurgin Cutshail of Weaverville; several stepchildren; three sisters, Sylvia Sawyer of Swannanoa and Flora Lamb and Louella Easterly of Greeneville, Tenn.; two brothers, Phillip Cutshail of Greeneville and Floyd Cutshail of Virginia; a grand son and several step-grandchildren. Donald Norton Donald Norton of 275 Burton Cove Road, Marshall, died Friday from in juries substained in a tractor acci dent. He was 45 years old at the time of his death A native and lifelong resident of Madison County, he was the son of Morris and Lora McDevitt Norton at Marshall. He was a sheet-metal mechanic and a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church.
