The Brochure outlines that to be eligible for
relocation payments, including the replacement
housing pi a y men t, the initial occupants must be
on the property at the time the Department makes
an offer to by the parcel which is within the right
of way. To be eligible for ropleyement housing
payments, the owners of the property must hove
been in occupancy for at least 110 consecutive
days prior to the, offer to by. and tenants mutt
have been in occupancy for at least 90 days prior
to the offer to buy. Also, owner -occupants are
eligible for relocation payments only if their pro
perty is acquired by the Department and they
were *he owner of the property at the time the of
fer to buy was made. Any person located on this
proiect who is making plans to move should notify
the Department before moving in order to insure
eligibility for moving cost and replacement hous
ing payments.
