Community Calendar Spring Fling Dance In Greater Ivy A Spring Fling Dance will be held on Friday from 7:30 until 11 p.m. at the Greater Ivy Comunity Center in Beech Glen. Deejay Barry Moore will provide the music. Admission is $2 per person. Proceeds will benefit the Madison County 4-H Teen Leader Council. Madison County boys and girls ages nine through 13 are in vited to attend the 4-H Camp in Swannanoa this summer from June 15 through 20. Cost of the camp is $65 per child which in cludes transportation, lodging, meals and insurance. In terested campera must register by May 15. Spring Ureek VflD Dance The Spring Creek Volunteer Fire Dept. wil sponsor a dance to benefit the Leukemia Society of N.C. on Friday night at 8 p.m. in the fire station. Optimists Meeting Rescheduled The monthly meeting of the Madison County Optimists Club was been rescheduled for May 15 at 7 p.m. at Mary's Restaurant on the Marshall Bypass. The Western Carolina Center's Family, Infants and Preschool program wil present a production of the "Kids On The Block" Puppet Show on Saturday at noon as part of the May Day Festival at Madison H.S. There is no admission charge. Dairy Goat Program Offered The Western Division of the Piedmont Dairy Goat Associa tion will meet on May 11 at the Sugar Cove dairy goat farm in Weaverville. The 2 p.m. meeting will follow a covered dish luncheon at 1 p.m. The program will include a hands-on clinic in hoof trimming and clipping and a demonstration of disbud ding and tattooing.
