Services were held Friday in Son Baptist Church, Bluff, of which he was a member. Lt. Tom Friddle and the Rev Illuff Suggs officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Blanche Sherrill Blanche Harrison Sherrill, 74, of 1383 E. Colonial Drive, Salisbury, died June 8 at her residence. A native of Spencer, she attended Salisbury Business College and Catawba College. She retired from Sherrill ft Smith Co. and was a member of Salisbury First Presbyterian Church, Rowan Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and past regent of Elizabeth Maxwell Steele DAR. Surviving are her husband, William A. Sherrill; three) daughters, Judy Sears of Mars Hill, Lynne Wil bourne of Eden and Libby Richardson of Gainesville, Fla.; six sisters, Dollie Click of Fairfax, Va., Rosie Gobbet of Spencer, Helen Gardner of Greensboro, Ruby Barton of Raleigh, Rachel Harrison of Charleston, S.C., and Ruth Uzzell of Salisbury; and, eight grandchildren. Services were held last Thursday in Salisbury under the direction of Sum mersett Funeral Home. Helen D. Davis Helen D. Davis, 80, of Brush Creek Road, Fairview, died Saturday in an Asheville hospital. She was a Madison County native and had lived in Buncombe County for 70 years. She was a member at Tweed's Chapel United Methodist Church. Her parents were the late George and Sue Hooker Dula. Surviving are her husband. Coy A. Davis; two sons. Richard Davis of Asheville and Glen Davis of Washington, D.C.; four daughters. Barbara McGuinn and Betty Neebitt, both of Asheville, Jean Moom of Waynes ville and Pat Reynolds of Lin coln ton; a brother, Tom Duia of Weavcrvilie; four sisters, Alma Hunt and Ixola Taylor, both of Weaverville, and Mildred Weat and Clara Ladax, both of Florida; 15 grandchildren; and, a great-grandchild Services were held Mooday in Williams Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Harold Houck officiated. Burial was in Aahelawn Gardens of Memorv .
