Ushers were Martin Rasmussen of Hendersonville, Rex Samuel Shumate of Millers Creek and John Erwin Clayton of Campobello. The bride is a graduate of Asheville Buncombe Techinical College with a degree in secretarial science. The bridegroom attended Mars Hill High School, and is employed by Nor folk Southern Railroad. Lace and pearl* enhanc ed the gown's bodice. The cathedral lenght train had scattered cut-outs of lace appliques. The headpiece was designed by the bride with waltz length veiling Maid of honor was Kim Brooks of Asheviile.
