BERRYMAN-RHEES. From Washington Star. The following clipping will be of vast interest to the many friends of Mr. J. T. Berryman in this city. Mr. Berryman has visited Waynesville as the guest of Dr. and Mrs. R. L. Allen for several summers. Of far more than local interest was the wedding last evening of Miss Louise Rhees, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Benjamin Rush Rhees, when she became the bride of Mr. James Thomas Berryman, son of the famous cartoonist, Clifford K. Berryman, and Mrs. Berryman. The ceremony took place at 8 o'clock in the Church of the Covenant, Rev. Dr. Charles Wood officiating, in the presence of a large company of relatives and friends of both families. The arrangements for the wedding were unusually charm ing. The church was decorated with Autumn leaves and yellow chrysan themums, large standards of ferns marking off the pews for the families. Mrs. Frank Byram, organist, playpd the wedding marches and accompa nied Mrs. Mariam B. Hilton, wh sanfj several selections, including "The Dawn of Love" and "The Cycle of Life." The bride walked to the altar with her father, who gave her in marriage. She wore a lovely gown of ivory moire designed along quaint old fashioned lines, the bodice close fitting and made with long sleeves, which were pointed at the wri.t. The skirt was quite bouffant, a flounce of old duchess and rose point lace, a gift to the bride from Mrs. Berryman, mother of the bridegroom, forming the upper part of the skirt, which v as cut into deep scallops, from which a shadow hem of tulle extend ed. A couit train of the satin hung from the shoulders, and her tulle veil was held by a band of lace, also a gift of Mrs. Berryman, combined with .range blossoms, and she carried a shower bouquet of white orchids, sweet peas ami lilies of the valley. Miss Alice K. Dickey was maid of honor, wearing a gown of orchid moire, fashioned with a basque and a bouffant skirt, the bodice made with short sleeves and the skirt scalloped about the hem line. She wore a gold lace hat and carried an arm bouquet f yellow chrysanthemums. The other attendants ve Mi-s Florence Berryman. sister of the bridegroom; Miss Elizabeth Wagner, Mrs. S. J. Roberts and Miss Mary Chesney of Montclair. N. .1.
