night at the Hazehvood Presbyteiian
church. Attendance " has been good
and splendid interest is being shown
by the people of Hazehvood. Visiting:

To date the sermons have been

('id to Soco Gap is one that will
have to wait. I see no prospects of an
early construction of this road.
"7. With reference to Route 288
from Bryson City to Deal's Gap beir
maintained as a state highway. I am
advised that future power develop
ments may require a re-location of
some of this roald, and, therefore, no
program of improvements should be
undertaken until all of these matters
are settled.
"When traffic develops to the point
of widening Route No. 10 west of
Asheville I am hopeful that funds
will be available for this purpose.
"We are still in the condition of
declining revenues 'both from gaso
line and tag taxes and naturally must
be cautious about expenditures."
