Eight naps are located in the Smokies with elevations higher than one mile. These high elevations account in great measure for the beautiful scenic attractions of the Park; the high waterfalls, towering: peaks, sheer cliffs dropping away abruptly, stu pendous mountain bulks separated by deep gulfs and wide-spreading valley floors, tumbling creeks and rivers.
