After we finished our sewing unit

tionships. We studied about courtesy

Shortly afterwards a nurse came
over from the hospital and gave the
classes of the Home .Making Depart
ment a demonstration on how to bathe
., .;,.L- .nt and make a patient's
bed. Of course 1 was the patient ana
had far more energy than the other
members of the class This demon
stration has helped me greatly in
caring lor mother. It was nice ot the
nurse to come ami neip us.
We studied health, also. 1 ve learn
ed to diess wounds such as : cuts,
burns, scratches, bruises and sores. 1
can make mv own bandages for wounds
now. I've 'found out the different
medicines to use for different wounds,
how to check blood, and how to manage
sprains.
My projects help me more 'each day.
First, "Caring for .Mother." My. rea
sons for taking this are maybe be
cause mv mother has pellagra and is
not able to do much work. I m the
only daughter she has at home and 1
thought it mv duty to care for her
