They will also drive to New York City. They were accompanied as far as Coatsville, Pennsylvania by Mr. J. W. Doan. Mrs. Richard Barber. Jr. left Mon day for Griffin. Georgia where she will spend two weeks as the guest of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. W. V. Norman. Sht w-s accompanied by Little Miss Biibara Ann Boyd, who will visit her aunt. C, COMMUNITY CLUB HOLDS LAST 1 MEETING The last meeting of the club year of the Community Club was held on Monday afternoon in the club rooms on Main street, with the president, Mrs. Ben Colkitt, presiding. It was the occasion of the presentation of the yearly reports of the officers, depart ments, and standing committees. The wvrk accomplished by these various chairmen was most gratifying to all numbers. In spite of reduced dues :'ie high standarj of work has not en saeiiticed during the past year, but under the leadership of Mrs. Ben Colkitt, who will .-erve the club an other year as president, the club has been active in all the chosen work. Miss Carolina Alsteatter, chairman w the Garden Department announced that the annual Flower Show will be held on Tuesday- May 22 in the build ing owilvI by Mr. Clyde Ray. which until recently was occupied by the Massie Department Store. All mem bers were urged to exhibit flowers and attend the show. She further announc ed that the following gardens would be open on Sunday for inspection of the public: Mrs. James M. Long. Mrs J. P. Dicus, Mrs. Kufus Siler, Mrs. f'. E. Alley, Mrs. Harry Hall, Mrs. G, C, Boston, and Mrs. Clayton Walker. Blue ribbons will be given to the Lest formal and the best rock garden. Mrs. W. D.
