Major Martin, who for the past 'late years has been National Guard instructor at Concord, N. II.. has been transferred to Fort Crockett, Calvcston, Texas, where ho will be come commanding officer of the har iior and coast defense. Of keen enjoyment to the members was the history of the music club activities in Waynesv ille, which was given by Mrs. . E, B.Camp, in which she tolil' of the various musical or ganizations since 1SH18 when the first music club was organized with Mrs. Hugh Love, as president. She stated that all living members of that first club were members of the present club, which was reorganized and fed erated in 192a.
