Oo. et al RSM;AAA GAC J&W Sam Welch, of this city, for the past reveral years an examiner for the State Banking Department, has been appointed a national bank exam, iner by Comptroller of Currency, F. T. O'Connor, and has been assign ed as an examiner for the Fifth Fed eral Reserve District, with headquar ters in Washington, D. C. He went to Washington last week to begin his duties. Mr. Welch became an employe of the liquidation division of the State Banking Department in 1930 when it was under the Supervision of the Cor poration Commission. In 1932 he served in the capacity of liquidating accountant and devised much of the system and methods now in use for handling the increased volume of business in this department caused by resources in closed banks.
