M. H. Bowles were hostesses for a
bridge party and linen shower Tues
day afternoon in honor of MUs
Maude Terrell, bride-elect of July.
The affair was tendered at the home
of Mrs. Ferguson which was lovelv
with its decoration of roses and other
garden flowers. Tallies featured the
bridal motif. After the games prizes
were awarded to Mrs. Felix Stovall,
high scorer, Mrs. S- P. Gay, second
high, and to the honoree , who was
presented a guest prize. The gifts of
linen were presented in a unique man
ner when little Parker Gay, dressed
as a aviator, brought in an air mail
package addressed to Miss Terrell.
The hostesses served a delightful
salad course.
Those playing were: Misses Maude
and Margaret Terrell. Miss Mary
Barber. Miss Eula Patterson, Mrs. S.
P. Gay, Mrs. Richard Barber, Jr., Mrs.
Tom Lee, Jr.. Mrs. R. L. Coin. Mrs.

delightful informal bridge party last
Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs.
Barber on the Dellwood Road.
Two table- were placed for bridge
in the living room which was at
tractively arranged with Dorothy
Perkins roses and peonies. After an
interesting series of games Mrs. Tom
Lee, Jr. was presented the high
score gift and Mi.-s Mary Elizabeth
Doggett received the low score gift.
