The pas tor I- A. Rhinehart, officiated, as sisted Rev, Frank Leatherwood and Rev. Thos. Erwin, a former pastor. The high esteem in which he was held among his friends and neigh bors was manifested by the larg number which attended the funeral services and by thP beautiful floral offerings. He was laid to rest in the Ratcliff Cove cemetery beneath the most beautiful mass of flowers ever looked upon. The companion of his youth. th companion of his old age and the children who nursed him so faithfully are bowed down with grief over th going of this loved one and sigh, "Oh, for the touch of a vanished hand, and the sound of a voice that is still. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints."
