Following the usual ritualistic service the resignation of Mrs. Rob ert Stretcher as president was read and was accepted with deep regret bv the members. Mrs. M. G -Stanley was unanimous, j ly elected to fill the unexpired term of I Mrs. Stretcher, after which Mrs. Stamey took the chair and presided over the remainder of the meeting. ' A motion was made and carried to assist the high school girls in obtain ing literature suitable for entrance in the annual reading contest. Mrs. M. H Bowles, chairman of hospitality, "announced that if it suit-, ed the club members her committee, would like to have the annua! hus-' bands party on . Thusday evening at the Counti y Club. Being agreeable, definite plans were formulate! for this occasion which : always anticipated by the club members and their escort--.
