The choir of the First Baptist
church is preparing a very interesting
' and beautiful Cantata to be given

This work is "The Star Divine,"
by A. W. Lansing, with text by
Frances V, Hvxbbard. It is the Na
tivity Story in song, from the proph
ecy of the coming of Christ to The
("Adoration of the Infant King- The

oriental atmosphere introduced in the
prelude, is carried throughout the .1
whole work by the theme of the. Wise I
Men in quest of the Star, and this
.theme "The March of the Magi," is
interwoven through the Cantata in

HOLD CHRISTMAS MEETING
The Wayneeville Music Club will
meet with Mrs. E. B. Camp at her
home on Pigeon street on Saturday
afternoon, the 22nd. Miss Nancy
Killian will have charge of the pro-jrram.

Howell, regent of the Dorcas Bell
Love Chapter entertained with a
beautifully appointed luncheon at !
"Windover." The Yultide decorations;
were noted in all the details of the
decorations and service.
The luncheon table was spread with ;
a lace cloth and centered by a crystal i
bowl of red carnations and ferns and
lighted with red tapers. The guests
included some of the officials of the
local chapter.
Following the luncheon an infor-,
mal discussion of the work of the
chapter was held until the group left
at three-thirty to attend the regular
December meeting of the Dorcas Bell
Love chapter.
