As the basketball season comes to a clo.se teams of Haywood will be thinking of the W. C. T. C. tourna ment. It is believed by the boys around Cuilowhee that this year will find the strongest team in play. The Clyde boys and the Betnel girls will be" on top from here, and the latter may win '.he cup another time, '.'he Waynesville girls will see Bethel in the finals. Canton, Clyde, and Fines Creek have been plaving and winning some ball games. The Clyde girls, led by Warren, will give any of them a good fight. The Fines Creek boys should stay a while with Coa.-h Poindexter. The Canton boys will leave on the same bus. The Fines Creek girls like tournament plav better than Canton. Ami as for me I'll buy a ticket with James' boys of Clyde and watch the score giow, and will not need any glasses to e- Stanley pih in points for the Bethel girls. The continued improvement of Milner will not hurt the cause. The writer doubts if he has ever j seen a better combination in tne girls' game than Crawford, Murray and Reeves. Against the Lenoir. Through the splendid co-operation of Miss Mae Crawford and the coach of the Bethel All-Stars, the girls, team of Lenoir-Rhyne was entertained in town last week. Many changes were made in order to play this game.: It was considered an accommodation to Mr. Ward and his team of college girls. In return they displayed the poorest foi'iii of sportsmanship the writer has seen in many days failed to show-up for a scheduled game with Bethel the following, night.
