Albeit Abet and Mrs. Lou 8ilverth-:rr.e. were joint hostesses to the member of the 'Busine.-j Woman's Circle? of the Presbyterian chur.li. The house was attractive!;. arranged in holly and spruce pine, w;th a lighted Christ inas tree f miner giving t.ie season al atmosphere. Following the meeting the guests were invited into the dining room where a supper was served. Here the Christmas motif also prevailed. In the gnnie- enjoyed after Mrs.. W. I). Smith ar.'i Mr-. Dan Watkias were the prise winner-?. Mrs. I.. M. Richeson, in the role of Santa Claus, distributed the gifts from the tree. Special guests of the occasion were Mrs. L. i.M. Richeson and Miss Swear ingin. Members of the circle pres ent were Mrs. Frank Worthington. Mrs. W, D. Smith. .Mrs. Dan Watkins, Miss Lois Han-ciid, Miss Sue Wi'dard Lindsley, Mi as Bernicc- M. For the occasion the living and sun rooms were decorated in quan tities of poinsettas, holly and green ery. A large glittering tree adorned one iorner of the room. Miss Martha Mock had charge of the program which consisted of the following numbers: The Christmas story according to the Scriptures, read by Miss Mock, a vocal solo by Miss Eva I.tatherwood, a group of caiols by the Stentz quartet, accom panied by Mrs. J. Dale Stentz, a vocal i-oio I y little Mary Ann Massie, and a Christmas reading by Miss Margaret Ashton. HYATT HOSTESS OF I). A. R. MEETING The December meeting of the Dorca, Bell Love Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution was held on Wednesday afternoon at the heme of Mrs. Ernest J. Hyatt, on the Bal sam Road. Christmas greens adorned the living rooms. Mrs. J. Harden Howell, regent, preside!, and in the absence of the secretary, Mrs. J. W. Seaver, Mrs. E. B. Camp served as secretary. Mrs. Kate .Morris and Mrs. James R. Boyd, Jr., who have charge of com piling the data on all th? graves in Green Hill cemetery prior to 1914, at which time these statistics were start ed to be kept by the State Board of Health, gave a report of their pro gress. The final report will be sent to the genealogical chairman. A letter was read frcm Mis. J. S. Silversteen. of Brevard, asking that the chapter send some clippings to be used in the scrap book which is being compiled for the North Carolina Room in Constitutional Hall in Washington, D. C. The regent anpointed Mrs. J. F. Abel, Mrs. B. J. Sloan, and Mrs. Charles E. (juinlan a committee for this work. Mrs. Jonn N. Shoclbred, chaii man of courtesies, reported Hewers hav ing 'been sent to several of the mem bers who have been ill. Mis. R. N.
