Henry Frantis entertained a group of friends 83 a surprise to her husband, on the occasion of hie birthday an niversary. The house was arranged in quantities of summer flowers. Mrs. Francis was assisted by Mr. Francis and their children, Polly, James, Bob, Pink and Bessie Sue, in receiving the sruests. Shoo -bred gives each year in observance of his birthday anniversary. The party was given at his residence on Boundary street on Friday evening. For the occasion quantities of col oiful flowers from the gardens of the host were used to decorate the rooms where the guests asssembled for the various card games which were enjoyed by those wishing to play. Marsh entertained a g.-oup of the younger set with a supper party as a surprise to her daughter, Mbs Dol lee Marsh, on the occasion of her birthday. The tables were arranged on the porch and were lighted by candles. Mixed flowers were used with at tractive results. Following supper the guests played cards and danced.
