Os borne, at her home in Whittier, re turned on Monday to Plott. En route she stopped in Waynesville, where she was the guest on Monday of son, Mr. G. C. Plott. Mrs. Ruth William Rotha and Miss Mary Pauline Plott were among those spending Monday in Asheville. Miss Margaret Boyd, who is at tending Brevard College, arrived in town on Friday to pass the Yuletide with her family. Miss Emily Painter, student of the 'Wee tern Carolina Teachers College, is spending the holidays with her family. Mrs W. D. Smith anj a party of friends were among those spending Monday in Asheville. Mr. James Liner, who is attending the Western Carolina Teachers Col lege, arrived during the week to pass the holiday season with his parents. Miss Lou Belle Boyd, who is a student at Brevard College, will spend the Christmas season with her fam ily. Mr. M. II. Bowles left on Sunday for Gay, Ga., where he will be joined by Mrs. Bowles, and they will spend Christmas with hi; family, after which they will go to Irwinton for a visit with relatives of Mrs. Bowles. Mrs. Ben Colkitt and children, Doris, Ben and Bobbie, spent Monday in Asheville. N. Y. L. CLUB ENJOYS CHRIST MAS PARTY The members of the N. Y. L. Club entertained with a Christmas party on Friday night at the home of Miss Avie Noland. The living room was arranged in Christmas green, and and in one corner was a gayly decor ated tree. At a previous meeting the members had drawn each others names, and gifts were provided for each in this manner. Among those attending the affair were: Miss Lillian Burgin, Miss Louise Campbell, Miss Josephine Plott, Miss Frances Burgin, Miss Frangie Noland, Miss Margaret Burgin, Miss Lucy Jones, Miss Mildred MeCraeken, Miss Mattie Moody, and Miss Eliza beth MeCraeken. Mr. and Mrs. E. B. McClure are leaving Christmas Day for a fort night's visit to various points in Florida. Miss Harte Oliver is leaving today for her home in Winston-Salem, where she will spend the holidays with her family. She was accompanied by her niece, Miss Betty Neilson, of Winston palem, who has been her guest for the past few days. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Harvilie, of Washington, D. C, will arrive on Thursday to spend several days with the latter'3 mother, Mrs. Margaret Moody, who is quite ill at her home on Main street. Muss Grace Bowles and Miss Julia Bowles, are spending several weeks in Asheville, before going to Florida for the remainder of the winter. To Our Host.
