WEDDING TAKES PLACE IN CHARLOTTE Of interest to a large circle of friends in this section is the an nouncement by the bride's par ents, Mr. and Mrs. G. V. Full bright, of Lake Junaluska, of the marriage of their daughter Miss Flora Mae Fullbright and Wallace Ward, which took place on No vember 6th at the Myers Park Methodist Church, of Charlotte. The wedding was solemnized at five o'clock in the afternoon, with only a small group of friends at tending. The pastor of the church, Rev. Ownby, officiated. The bride wore a smalt green and black imported wool suit, with black accessories. Her flow ers were a shoulder corsage of talis-man roses, and lilies of the valley. Mrs. Ward had as her only attendant Mrs, A. B. Moss Jr., of Charlotte, who was matron of honor. Mrs. Ward is a graduate of the Western Carolina Teachers Col lege, and for the past year has ! been teaching in the Canton schools. The groom is the son of Mi- ' and Mrs. A.E. L. her home on Main BOY SCOUTS TO ENTERTAIN GIRL SCOUTS On Saturday evening the Way nesville Troup of Boy Scouts plan to entertain the Waynesville Troop of Girl" Scouts, with a party at the Legion Home. Mrs. J, C. Brown, Scout Master, and Miss Mary Stringlield, captain of the girl scout troop and u few of the mothers will also be guests of the evening. The American Legion Auxiliary held their regular meeting on Tuesday evening in the assembly room of the Legiort home, with Mrs. Hearst Burgin, president presiding. Reports were given by the offic ers. The treasurer stated that .ill I obligations to date had been met, and that there were 32 members in good standing. Miss Mary Ethel Bailey, of Can ton, reviewed the national maga zine, reading the president Gen eral message, which told at length ot his visit i broad to the various chapter located in Europe, Mis. Becker also told of her pre sentation at the English court and her attendance, at the coronation Mrs. . L. Hardin, chapter chairman for Ellis Island, asked for donations consisting of wool in any lengths, denim, shirting khaki, cotton and line thread, leather, and various other mater ials, which are annually supplied to Ellis Island by the national So ciety. Mrs. Long stated that the gift shop of Mrs. W. B. Matthews,- a member of the chapter would be open on every Friday afternoon from 3 to 5 o'clock from now un til Christmas. It was reported that five ad ditional lineage books had been placed in the.
