Alumni Hear Coach Ray Wolfe The annual dinner meeting of the Alumni of the University of North Carolina, of the counties of Haywood, Jackson and Swain, was held on Wed nesday night at the Gordon Hotel. Approximately Ihirty-six members of . the group, reinv-sentinp: the three j counties, attended. The principal speaker of the even-1 injr was Coach Kay Wolfe, who out-1 lined the new athletic program of the I university. He stated that under tiu I recent arrangement more students would receive athletic training, out-1 side of the regular held of sports, than had previously been given. Couch Wolfe was introduced by J. Marian Saunders, general alumni secretary. The following officers were elected to serve the tri-county organization for the coming year; President, Ben Sloan, of Sylva; vice president, Chas. E. Ray, Jr.; vice president, Kelly Ben nett, of Bryson City; vice president, C. C. Poindexter, of Canton, and sec retary and treasurer, Dan Moore, of Svlva. Large Number Attended Sunrise Service Easter An impressive service was conduct ed by the Haywood League Union and the Waynesville Youth Council in the joint sunrise service which they held at Lake Junaluska on Easter morning. A large number cf young people from over the county attended.
