XYL CLUB GIVES DINNER PARTY ON FRIDAY The members of the NYL Club en tertained with a dinner party on Fri day evening at the home of Mr. an. I Mrs. Walter Francis as a courtesy to Mrs, Wayno Moore, recent bride, and a member of tho club. '1 he central dining room table was covered with a lovely linen cloth, and all the appointments hor the Christmas .'motif with red candles placed at intervals' about the room. Mrs. Moore was presented with an electrical gitt. The guest list in cluded, Mrs. Moore, Mrs. Grace Camp, Miss Frangie Noland, Mrs. Walter I'rancis, Miss Mattie Moody, Miss Fiances Burgin, Misa Elizabeth Mc Cracken, Miss Josephine Plott, Miss .Mildred McCracken, Miss Lillian Bur gin, Miss Lucy Jones, Miss Margaret Burgin, and Miss Louise Campbell. MARRIAGE ANNOUNCED Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Browning have announced the marriage of then daughter, Miss Luda Bernice Brown ing, to Ralph Buford Woodard. The wedding was solemnized on Decem ber the 25th, at the home of Rev. Oder Burnette, with relatives and a few close friends attending. The ring ceremony was used. The bride wore a becoming rust tailored suit, with brown accessories. Mrs. Woodard received her education in the local schools and now holds a position in the office of Dr. R. H, Stretcher. The groom is the son of the Rev. and Mrs. J. M. Woodard, of Hazel wood, is a graduate of the Waynesville Township High school. He is in bus iness with his father, and is also the town clerk of Hazelwood. After a brief wedding trip Mr. and Mrs. Woodard will make their home in Waynesville. MR. AND MRS. C. F.K IRK PATRICK GIVE CONTRACT PARTY Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Kiikpatrick were hosts on Tuesday evening of a contract party. The fortieth anniversary of the organization of the chapter which is the second oldest in the state will be observed with an appropriate pro gram, hach regent will speak briefly of her term of office, giving the most important events. Camp will be in charge of the program, which will in clude a sketch of the life of Ethelbert Nevin, and his works with numbers illustrating various qualities will be rendered by the members.
