office ... no one thought of a holi
day . . . and out of a clear sky around

overcoat rushes into the front office

stop ... and close the office" . . . the
sports editor had left us some half
hour before . . an unheard of event
we needed no urging , . . you never
saw such a scramble in the shop and
office for hats and coats . . . then
out on the streets . . . and were they
deserted? . . ; the only people you
saw ... walked as if they were in
such a hurry they were afraid to
take time to speak . . . all bound for
a radio ... to listen to the game .v.
to have our hopes sent Heaven ward
hike sky rockets , . . only to explode
in the same manner, ...
