' ' Clayton, Farmers Federation Declares Dividend, A semi-annual dividend of three per cent payable January 1, to stockholders of record December J6, 1940 has been been declared by the directors of the Farmers Fed eration, Inc. More than 4,500 stockholders in Western North Carolina will share in this distribution which la the Federation's 14th consecutive semi annual dividend. Checks will be mailed to the holders of preferred shares, while the majority of com mon stockholders will be P'd cash at the nearest Farmers Fed eration warehouse. The directors also announced a dividend of three per .cent on par tial paid stock in the Federation, has distributed in stock to cash These shares have been accummu lated as a result of the tree per cfent patrolage which for sev eral years the Federation has distributed in stock on par tial paid stock will be paid in credits toward full stock shares which, when completed will entitle the holders Ko regular cash dividends.
