Within a radius of five miles
there are three saw mills now in
operation on Fines Creek. Two
of the mills are owned and oper
ated by the Green Brothers, Carl
and Waldo, sons of Mr. and Mrs
Wiley Green.
They employ a number of men
and logs are trucked from the
vicinity and distant points.
The other mill is owned by V.
B. Green, merchant of this section,
His mill will be ready for sawing
the latter part of the week.
With the growing demand for
labor these mills are proving a
great asset to the community in
giving the farmers an opportunity
to turn their leisure hour into
cash.

I reached QTugene Talmadge's farm,
the rain stopped. As I drove up to

they needed rain badly. I couldn't

Next day I left for Balsam. I

I need the peace and quiet of
God's hills and valleys after a
hectic winter in a busy city.
